In this section you will find all the products that CTG UAlbany has created to help raise awareness about the concept of smart cities and communities as well as to support public libraries’ contribution to developing smart cities and communities.
 

It includes:

• The Opportunity Agenda and Roadmap Report, which identifies areas of opportunity for public libraries to become strategic partners in the development of smarter, more inclusive, and more connected communities.

• A flyer addressed to smart city’s stakeholders that raises awareness about the role that public libraries may play in the development of smart cities and communities.

• Examples of how four specific public libraries are contributing in different ways to making their community smarter.

• Two national survey reports, that capture the perceptions of local governments and public libraries on the concept of smart city/community, the role of public libraries in developing smart cities and communities, as well as the benefits, costs, challenges, success factors, and expected future development of public libraries playing this role.

• A Current Practices Report, that identifies practices that public libraries across the US were already implementing back in 2018 to contribute to the development of smart cities and communities.

• Publications that elaborate on the role of public libraries in developing smart cities and communities and other community initiatives.
